When he made his WWF debut as the Blue Blazer, he went nowhere. As a masked wrestler, he didn't come close to the success he had in either Stampede or Japan.

It wasn't until he lost the Blazer gimmick and turned heel on his brother Bret that his career took off. He won the King of the Ring in 1994 (and declared himself the King of Harts), won the tag team titles with brother-in-law Davey Boy Smith. Then on April 28, 1997, he won his first singles belt, the Intercontinental title, against The Rock. Next, he won the European Title.

Then tragically, on May 23, 1999 at the Over The Edge Pay Per View, Owen Hart was killed by a fall from the rafters in the Kemper Arena in Kansas City.
